In the unfortunate event of an accident occurring on a set location on an insured production, as the Producer you are required to:
- Ensure the injured performer or stunt performer receives appropriate and immediate care.
- Notify ACTRA and any other parties required by law.
- File the report to AFBS regarding the work-related accident within 72 hours of the incident by completing Form 13-IAR. This must be completed by the Production Manager or their representative.
To be eligible for Accident on Set benefits, the injury to the eligible performer must be related to an accident while working on a set location on an insured production.
Working on a set location includes those times when the Producer requires the performer or stunt performer to be available, for example, for wardrobe, rehearsal or hair and make-up. Direct travel from a performer’s residence to the set location (or from a temporary residence when a performer is required to live away from home for all or part of the production) is also covered.
Form 13-IAR can be accessed below and must be completed and submitted in order to report an accident on set.
Once the accident has been reported, AFBS may contact you to confirm the details or to gather further information.
